  Poultry Project

Poultry  meetings are held  the second Tuesday of every month.

Various aspects are covered at each meeting, including chicken

breeds and confirmation,  feathers, showing, showmanship, and

other  topics that  arise. Chicks are  usually purchased  in early

 December for summer showing.

The poultry project involves three sub-projects: egg layers, meat
birds, and show birds. Project members can select one or all of
these  areas  and  show at the  Ramona Jr. Fair, the San Diego

County Fair, the East County Jr. Fair, and Area 4 Field Day.

Poultry project photos can be seen in our photo gallery.
